Seasons and me, sounds like a nature lover. Yes, that's true, but not all. Different looks of nature, different colours of nature, different moods of nature, along with different sounds of nature always leave deep impact in my mind. When a human's ritual or festival or some tune or pictures from human world blends with nature, it leaves a new definition and creating a new "SEASON" for me. I become calm, wild, angry, fiery, lazy depending on SEASONs. So I just want to pen down my mood swings along with seasons and well, that's just it.

Showers of blessings...

Today, well practically yesterday since it is 12:31 in the morning, was "Bhaiphonta". This is a typical Indian rather Bengali ritual. In this ritual all the girls/ladies/women pray for the safety and long lives of their brothers and male cousins. This is a real sweet ritual which shows the  the love between brothers and sisters. But this day becomes very gloomy to those who doesn't have any. But well, this is India, so we Indian girls can find brothers among friends anywhere and everywhere. This is how we are. The whole world seems to us a huge family. But this day can be a bit nostalgic for those girls who used to do this ritual, used to give their brothers the "Bhaiphota" with their own hands, used to offer their brothers the sweets, but now couldn't give them anymore. They have lost their brother somehow. May be to death or to the demands of  their jobs, or to some stupid issues, that cracked the beautiful relationship & now beyond repair. Well, sometimes the sister is away from family and sometimes the brother is.  So this day brings a lot of memory for them to remember. Well, I am one of those girls. I am a single child but have two cousins, one from meternal side and one from paternal side. The one from peternal side is younger than me & his nick name is "Piku". The one from the maternal side is older than me & I call him "dadabhai." I used to be closer with dadabhai. We grew up together under the same roof just like brother and sister, not cousins. They both are away. I really recall the day when I used to perform the ritual with them. It was so much fun. dadabhai used to tease me a bit and being fiery tempered as always I reacted like an exploded volcano. But there was love, there was fun. I enjoyed those very very much. So yesterday when I woke up I felt a bit sad and nostalgic. At the evening though, I heard a cracker noise & rushed towards the window & saw that our neighbourhood had decided to light up all the left over crackers from "Diwali" & well, this is what I saw...
Firedance in the sky

Sparkling and glittering...
Fire shower...
Fire rain...
blinding sparky beauty...

I wish all the brothers in the world, that in each of their lives,
"There will be showers of blessings, there will be promise of love..."

The spirit lingers on...

Tonight is the night to miss last night terribly. Yes I miss it somehow. I know that the festival ends & it comes again next year but feeling a bit sad as it is over for now.

The kids at our neighbourhood are still full of spirit. They just don't let it go.

Through their eyes I am reliving the festival for one extra day or night, if you call it. Their joy and happiness are infectious indeed.

The season of  lingering on...

Season of light and fireworks... "DIWALI"

The Golden spirit or spirit of light is blended with spirit of purity and spirit of joy.

Smile takes place defeating the tears,
Happiness is rising, crushing all the fears.
Dark has been defeated by the purity of soul,
uniting the families, making it a "whole"

Tonight is "Diwali". The whole nation is flooded with lights, different lights. Light of candles, light of "Diyas", even electric fancy lights. Tonight is the night of celebration.

Lord Ganesha is surrounded by Diyas and candles, emitting a golden aura.

The sky is ornamented with gorgeous fireworks. I am just enjoying them through my bedroom window.

May everyone's life be blessed, may everyone's life be enlightened, may everyone's life be flooded with brightness. This is the time to celebrate with family. The warmth of family and togetherness is being cherished to the utmost.

I decorate my entire living come dining room and balcony with "Diyas" and candles and little tunny bulbs. The room is glowing under the pure golden candlelight. I am really really happy, because I am celebrating the festival of light with my FAMILY.

Enlightening the way...

"Fourteen candles", yes, today is the night to light fourteen candles.

The night just before "Diwali" or "Kalipuja". It is believed in Indian Mythology that today is the night where by enlightening fourteen candles, we are repelling all evil ghosts and spirits and bringing the prosperity in.

A delicate way to say "Enlightening the DARK".
This is another season for me. A very special season, season of festiveness, season of light, season of joy. My entire neighbourhood is already wearing a festive look, and waiting impatiently for tomorrow's festival of light.

On my way in DUSK...

The dusk. Usually the dusk means a reddish orb of sun is setting down, far away in the horizon rim. The dusk means the play of all shades of red in the vast blue sky. Dusk means the time to admire the beauty of sun. But have you ever wonder that how dense grey thunder cloud adds to the beauty?Have you ever wonder what can it do with just its presence, upon the sky? Well, I do. I saw the feeble attempt of sun to peer through the thick blanket of cloud. After several tries it succeeded. A portion of the cloud was torn to create a small window, giving us access to the higher sky, yet it was covered by a very thin fleecy layer of cloud. It creates, a blurry curtain. Sunray was streaming through it, enlightening the cloudy curtain pure golden with soft hue around. It was breath taking. As if a little access to heaven was just being offered. I was charmed by the absolute purity of the sight. The gateway to heaven, i asked...

Morning...

I hate mornings. Morning is the start of a day, a brand new day infact, but I hate it. I hate the time really really bad. Everyday when I wake up from my nightsleep and see the morning is already on me, I sulk. Morning means, I have to go to university, morning means I have to immerse myself in the fake outer world and well, morning means I am older than yesterday. I don't like to go to university and certainly don't want to do the "work", which, according to me is no artistic or creative. Seems to me like a technical jail, where I just can't breathe freely, can't live in carefree manner. Morning means a bright and hot sun, not all the days but majority of the days. I hate to deal with sun and my skin is enough sunkissed without any extra caressing by sun. Morning means, it is time to be practical, down to earth, facing the reality. But, if thought carefully, isn't it the fact that "nothing" is actually real but what is claimed to be the reality is nothing but the illussion shared by the "majority"? But nobody listens to me. They think I am crazy. Let them think that. I couldn't care less.

Rain...

It is raining again. After quite a period, it is raining again. "RAIN" , this four lettered word alone is enough for me to burst into excitements, to retire into a peaceful slumber, to find inner peace. I really don't get it. From the very beginning, as the cloud starts to form in the sky, shedding the bright golden orb of sun, I starts to feel like a calm and soothing sensation is filling me up from the very root of myself. It is wonderful. With the first flash of lightning, with the first roar of thunder, I feel a wild happiness in me. The whole world is slowly immersed in grey silver curtain. The colour of the world is dissolved into mere black and white canvas. The the first drop of rain falls on earth followed by streams of aqua rush. I feel blessed. I just go in front of my bedroom window &

take a deep breadth, inhaling the utmost youth, the absolute wild purity it offers. The nature feels so vulnerable and so full of bounties. Every colour surrounding me gets wet, gets deepened and emits an aura of cleanliness. The trees become greener, the roads become the deepest shade of grey. All the nearby buildings seem delighted at the fresh shower that washes away all the dust and dirt. A dust free world. The wild chilly wind blows hard, whirling droplets of rain with it. As it strikes my face, I close my eyes and leans to the touch of nature. The wild beauty indeed. Then the rain ceases, but the refreshment stays on. Everything is glossy & glittery now, not dazzling, but emitting a soft glow. The grayish, silvery world smiles shyly at me and I smile back, with a peaceful and calm yet wild heart...
